2011 Long Term Care Facilities Data
The Office of Nursing Workforce (ONW) administers, analyzes and evaluates statewide nursing supply and demand data on an annual basis. ONW attempts to capture data in multiple nursing service settings through surveys developed for specific healthcare settings. These surveys are conducted concurrently with the Mississippi State Department of Health Division of Licensure and Certification surveys.
The goal of this work is to successfully provide employers, educators and healthcare planners with accurate data regarding the current and future nursing needs throughout Mississippi. Results are typically used to inform the policy making and planning processes at local, regional, and state levels. All data are reported in aggregate form and is grouped by State Health Department districts; no agency is identified by name or specific location.
