The Changing Context of Care in an Aging Society

The purpose of this conference is to showcase solutions through research and evidence-based practices related to the changing context of healthcare affected by the aging of the population and large numbers of retiring nurses. Areas of focus include evolving site and processes of care delivery, emphasizing quality and safety outcomes, changing nursing workforce demographics and roles, and positive adaptations of health care systems.

Seventh in an annual series, this conference will help build the capacity to address the inevitable paradigm shifts in healthcare delivery and patient care as the population and nursing workforce ages.

This national conference for leaders and stakeholders of state-based nursing workforce centers focuses on measures to address long term nursing workforce solutions at the grassroots level. Whether you are from a newly minted workforce center or an established center, the conference will enhance your ability to start and/or sustain your operations. The seventh in a series of annual conferences, this conference is geared toward addressing the growing crisis in our capacity to produce a 21st century nursing workforce that is adequate in numbers and prepared for the complexities of healthcare.
